I'm Caroline, owner and sole groomer at Oscar's Dog Grooming Service on Bristol Road, Gloucester. I set up Oscar's because I wanted to offer something different — a calm, quiet, one-to-one environment where every dog feels safe.
I work exclusively one-to-one, taking only one dog at a time. Every appointment gets my full attention from start to finish — there is no handover to another member of staff, no waiting in a crate, and no rushing because the next client is waiting.
I specialise in curly-coated and doodle breeds, anxious and nervous dogs, elderly dogs, and puppies on their first visit. My approach is always calm, patient, and guided by what your individual dog needs — not a fixed routine.
The salon is on Bristol Road, Gloucester, GL2 4RF — purpose-built, with free on-site parking and full wheelchair access. Open seven days a week from 7:00am.

The Meaning Behind 'Oscar's'
The name “Oscar’s” isn’t just our business name—it’s a tribute to my own dog, Oscar, who was my inspiration for starting this journey.
I’ve always had a great love for dogs, and spent most of my life with dogs. I have a deep interest in dog behaviour
as well as dog /owner behaviour, what we do as humans really impacts dogs behaviour. It’s incredibly important to me to be patience, gain trust and understand each dogs needs.
When Oscar came into my life, he reinforced everything I loved about working with dogs and inspired me to create a grooming salon that focused on kindness rather than rushing appointments.
At Oscar’s, every dog is treated as an individual, with gentle handling, one-to-one attention and plenty of reassurance throughout their visit. Whether it’s their first groom or they’re a regular visitor, my aim is always the same—to make every dog leave looking great and feeling happy.
Because for me, grooming isn’t just about appearance—it’s about caring for dogs the way I’d want Oscar to be cared for.
